CCI cocounseling is one of several brands of cocounseling, that are more or less different. In general, we ask you, if you have learned another "brand" and want to participate in activities of CCI to do CCI basic training. Sometimes it is enough to do Back to Basics, an abbreviated basic training.
Related methods are:
* EKR cocounseling: the Kübler-Ross Foundation, which helps people to process difficult experiences as losses (in the broadest sense), death and mourning regularly offers cocounseling workshops. It is a basic form of cocounseling, which is also integrated into a broader course.
* FORT / MRT cocounseling: in the 60's and 70's of the last century an elementary form of cocounseling was used in men and women groups of Radical Therapy.
* cognitive self-therapy: was developed by the former CCN trainer and psychiatrist Peter de Boer. This form of therapy is offered in the Department of General Psychiatry of the UCP in Groningen.
* eleutheropedie: is practiced in Flanders and the Netherlands. It stems, like CCI, from reevaluation counseling and was developed by Daniel le Bon.
* the reevaluation counseling (RC), from which CCI was split off in 1974, still exists; in reevaluation counseling there is less emphasis on the responsibility of the worker (client), the theory shows differences and it has a hierarchical organization.
