CCI is about self exploration of your emotional well being with the witness and free caring and aware attention, and because of that, with the support of another human being. And this person also has the role of time keeper. In such a way that you manage your work as worker yourself and for your own responsibility. And than you swap roles, for the same amount of time for the other one to do so..
So you are not alone. That is why it is utmost practical, to have a list on hand of like minded people to do your work.  As soon as three or more of them meet intentionally,  they are already a community.  And you can practice your explorations with different people. The advantage of that is, that all know how to run properly the preconditions for that process of exploration, to gain the best results for each of you.
So a community can exist for a couple of hours, days, weeks, up to years, while the size can differ from 3 to several thousands members. Mostly the notion of a community is local and there exist also several regional or national communities with local or regional sub organisations. Their members may meet several times a year or only once a year for a couple of hours or several days. All participants of such a community finalized successful their fundamental CCI training (basic CCI training). So that is what they have in common.
How to run the whatever kind of CCI community this is, is entirely up to the participants. The decision making of these communities is, because of the absence of any authoritarian control, and the wish to honour and respect the autonomy of every member, based on consensus. (see literature, Bob Sawyer). In practice all members of any CCI community have always the right, in whatever meeting they are, to ask for a so called mini session. That is a time out for mostly 1 to 10 minutes per person (each) to release suddenly upcoming emotional overflowing. If one of those who are gathering has that need, it turns out that they are mostly not the only one.
You too may call fir a group of people that wants to organise a special CCI oriented meeting: a community for that purpose. So everybody is free to organise whatever community they like. And they organise their business in a way they like best themselves.
